Good Run Of Bad Luck

Here my take on this great song. In the solo you'll notice they use lots of hammer on's and pull off's to get that real country twang sound. It looks hard a first but isn't too hard to pick up once you get the hang of it. Tabbed By John Wallace (jmawallace hotmail.com) Capo 3rd Fret |----------------|--------------|---------------|--------------------(2)| |----------------|--------------|---------------|---------------------3-| |----------------|--------------|---------------|---------------------2-| |--0---0---3---0-|-0---0----5-5-|-0---0---3---0-|----------------0--0---| |----3---2---2---|---3---3------|---3---2---2---|-0h2-2h3-3p2-2h3-------| |----------------|--------------|---------------|-----------------------| D C G D A high roller even when the chips are down C G D To win her over, I'd seen the tables turn around C G D She's ten the hard way, I can feel it in my bones C G D She'll be making my day and not another night alone F G D Well it's time for a windfall and not a single minute too soon C G D I've been too long overdue, now I'm gonna shoot the moon CHORUS: D I'd bet it all on a good run of bad luck F G Seven come eleven and she could be mine D C G Luck be a lady, and I'm gonna find love comin' on the bottom line SOLO: |------------------------|-------------------------| |------------------------|-------------------------| |------------------------|-------------------------| |--------------3~--------|---------3-------3-5-5p3-| |--3/5-5p0-3h5---5p0-3-5-|-3h5-5p3--h5-3h5---------| |------------------------|-------------------------| |---------------------|---------------------(2)| |---------------------|----------------------3-| |---------------------|----------------------2-| |-----------3~--------|-----------------0--0---| |-5-5p0-3h5---5p0-3-5-|-0h2-2h3-3p2-2h3--------| |---------------------|------------------------| I've been to the table, and I've lost it all before I'm willing and able, always coming back for more Squeezing out a thin dime 'til there's no one hanging on my arm I've gambled on a third time, a fool will tell you it's a charm If I'm bettin' on a loser, I'm gonna have a devil to pay But it's the only game I know to play, it doesn't matter anyway CHORUS X2 SOLO X3 and thats it. For anyone interested I find when strumming the D chord in the chorus it can sound a bit monotonous so I use my second finger to play a C note (3rd fret on second string) and then a F note (3rd fret on the third string). If you do this, keeping with the it sounds a bit like the solo being played as well as the chords. anyway have fun.
